-

TWO very happy teams from Shankill Girls U15 football club got to visit Liverpool recently.

On the tour they played four games. They played exceptionally well considering the cold weather

The team would like to thank all those who made it happen for them too many to mention to include all local shops supermarkets and hotels who kindly made donations for raffles at Woodbrook college and Brady’s pub

Managers Karl Bruner Wally Batt and Paul O’Brien who give 100 per cent to the teams at all times.

They have inspired the girls to play to the best of their abilities and to commit to being part of Shankill Football Club.

The team motto is ‘honesty, hard work and desire’. This is borne out by the work ethic displayed by the girls.

The girls worked hard to raise funds for the trip to the UK to train with the Liverpool Premier League Girls. The 25 team members live in the locality, including Shankill, Cabinteely, Ballybrack and Bray and this was their first trip away as team.
