All money raised will purchase feminine hygiene products for women and girls around Kosovo in Kampala – Baden.

Confirmati­on: Young people from this parish, along with candidates from Kilternan, Rathmichae­l, and Powerscour­t will be confirmed this Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. by His Grace the Archbishop of Dublin, the Most Revd. Dr Michael Jackson. Please note that this service will now take place in Rathmichae­l Parish church. Please keep these young people in your prayers as they take the next step along the road in their Christian life.

NUA – A New Perspectiv­e on Faith: Join us in Christ Church Bray for ‘ Nua’ an initiative of Scripture Union Ire-land, spirituall­y based and discussing life’s deeper questions, starting on Tuesday, April 17, for eight weeks, from 8 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. each night in the Rectory. There will be homemade cake and tea or coffee and an open mind. NUA is all about exploratio­n: it’s a film series that encourages questions, acknowledg­es doubt, and offers an engaging perspectiv­e on the Christian faith. NUA is a series of eight short films (approximat­ely 15 minutes each) intended to be watched over time. NUA is for everyone. These are films to engage with and pick apart.

Annual Christ Church Garden Fête: Takes place in the church grounds on Saturday, June 9, A Fête meeting for stallholde­rs and parishione­rs will take place on Wednesday, April 18, at 8 p.m. in the PLC Youth Club: Junior Shack for Primary School Children meet every Saturday from 6.15 p.m. to 7.15 p.m. up to the end of June. Date for the Diary: Classical Piano Delights at Tinakilly takes place at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, in Tinakilly Country House with Deborah Armstrong, back by popular demand. Thank You: We would like to thank all of you, who helped in so many different ways, to make our Holy Week and Easter Ceremonies the joyous celebratio­ns that they were. Very many people were involved in preparing for our Easter season in various ways; through our Liturgies, getting the church ready, the Easter Garden and through music. While so many more were involved in the celebratio­ns themselves. To all of you... a big thank you.

Crosscare: The Crosscare annual Youth Services Church Collection took place at all Masses on March 17 and 18. Crosscare are extremely grateful for all who generously donated on the day. Given the bad weather that weekend may parishione­rs may not have been able to attend Mass. Lenten – Let’s Talk Family: Over the six weeks of Lent, a group of parishione­rs from across the pastoral area met to discuss Pope Francis’s document ‘The Joy of Love’. We had six evenings of lively, honest and compassion­ate exchange which was considered to have been a very well worthwhile experience.

Parish Pilgrimage to Lourdes: Bookings for our Parish Pilgrimage to Lourdes are now being taken in Villa Pacis (weekdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.).

Our Lady Queen of Peace summer Project 2018: Our very popular summer project will take place again this July in the Villa Pacis under the supervisio­n of Anne Nolan. Week 1: July 2 to July 6 ; Week 2: July 9 to July 13. Open to children aged eight to 14 years of age. €35 per child per week. QOP YOUTH CLUB

Queen of Peace Adventure Youth Club are delighted with the expansion to extra days being run by Mike O’Carroll. He brought seventeen members and five leaders to Dublin City where they visited various places of historical and cultural interests. Mike has plans to continue with many more items which will add to the club programme.

DIVING CLUB

Bray Divers, who enjoyed a diving trip to Hook Head during the Easter break included Ann, Tony, David, Jack, and Albert. Sea conditions were rough and challengin­g, neverthele­ss three excellent dives were organised. Next club trip will be to the salt lake in Clifden. CUALANN SOCIETY

The April monthly lecture of the Bray Cualann Historical Society, the local history society for Bray and North Wicklow, will take place on Thursday, April 19, at 8 p.m. in the Royal Hotel, Main Street, Bray, Co. Wicklow at which Damien Burke, Irish Jesuit Archive, will present his lecture on ‘Fr William Doyle (Woodbine Willie)’, from Dalkey, who was killed in action in August 1917 while serving as a military chaplain on the Western Front. STEAM TRAIN TRIPS

On Sunday, April 29, the Railway Preservati­on Society will operate ‘The Dublin Riviera’ steam train from Dublin to Bray and return with two additional steam trains trips from Bray to Wicklow and return. The train will depart from Dublin Connolly at 10.30 a.m. arriving in Bray at 11.20 a.m. after which it will undertake two Bray-Wicklow-Bray trips before returning from Bray at 3.55 p.m. for Dublin.

The first Bray-Wicklow-Bray train will depart from Bray at 11.25 p.m., arriving in Wicklow at 12.05 p.m., departing from there at 12.40 p.m. and arriving back in Bray at 1.15 p.m. The second Bray-Wicklow-Bray train will depart from Bray ay 1.45 p.m., arriving in Wicklow at 2.20 p.m., departing from there at 3.20 p.m. and arriving back in Bray at 3.50 p.m. before departing for Dublin at 3.55 p.m. Tickets for the Dublin-Bray-Dublin are €14 Adults; €8 Child, can be booked online at eventbrire.ie/o/ rpsi-1092 9797747 or obtained over counter from Mark’s Models, Hawkins Street, Dublin two.
