Models set to do a turn on the catwalk for cancer support

CANCER survivors and people affected by cancer are preparing to make their catwalk debut at a fundraisin­g fashion show in aid of Purple House Cancer Support.

The event, which takes place in Bray Golf Club at 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, will be a very special one, as it will feature a range of people who have been affected by a cancer diagnosis and who are service users of Purple House Cancer Support Centre in Bray.

The clothes for the show have been kindly supplied by local businesses, including Avoca, Fishers of NewtownMou­ntKennedy, Darcy & Grey, Tanseys, Pure Boutique Foxrock, Frocks & Frills, Sarah McGahon Milliner, Ann Gregory Bridal, as well as clothes from the Purple House Boutique in Bray.

The event will be hosted by Spin1038’s Lauren Kelly who is also an ambassador for Purple House Cancer Support.

Funds raised from the show will help Purple House support over 1,100 families who make use of the centre’s services and who are affected by cancer in the Wicklow, Dublin and wider Leinster areas.

Tickets are €15 and are available in Bray from Purple House Cancer Support Centre on 01 2866966, Purple House Boutique on Main Street, Tansey’s and Frocks & Frills on Florence Road.
