Bonne Chance to the sixth year students who are now turning their focus to the French orals, which take place all this week.

MUSICAL PRACTICALS

Best of luck to the sixth year music students who sat their practical exams on Friday the 13th. We hope you all did very well.

The HPS Team have numerous activities taking place from now to the end of the year to help staff and students keep a healthy mind and body. The HPS notice board has a list of the activities taking place and would love to see everyone participating to promote a positive mental health for everyone in our school community as we enter our final term.

BASKETBALL

The second year girls’ basketball team travelled to Oblate Hall in Inchicore for a nail biting final against Temple Carraig. CCA came out strong in the first quarter, finishing three points ahead of TCG. However TCG retaliated in the second quarter to go into half time with a very healthy lead.

This left CCA with a lot of work to do, but the girls worked tirelessly in the third quarter with Eve Leacy in only her second match putting away numerous scores to leave CCA within two baskets of their rivals. TCG defended very well in the final quarter to deny CCA the win. The entire team showed great maturity against a very strong team, with TCG claiming it was the toughest match they had played all year.

Well done to each and every player for their hard work throughout the year.
