Labour lecture

Our local Labour Party supporter John Kenna has been in touch to remind you all that the Wicklow Constituency of the Labour Party are organising a lecture by Charlie Callan to mark the Centenary of the Anti-Conscription campaign. The Anti-Conscription campaign was organised by Jim Everett in Wicklow in 1918 in response to David Lloyd George’s efforts to enforce conscription in Ireland during World War one. The lecture will take place in the Grand Hotel Wicklow Town on Monday, April 23, at 8 p.m.
