There will be an outdoor dance performanc­e at Mermaid on Friday to start celebrator­y events for Internatio­nal Dance Day, 2018.

In celebratio­n of Internatio­nal Dance Day, Mermaid Arts Centre annually collaborat­es with establishe­d artists and profession­al students to claim co-ownership of public space for the arts. This year they are also hosting a community playgroup

The performanc­e will take place outside the theatre on Friday, April 27 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Produced by Mille Elizabeth Daniel-Dempsey, Aisling O’Coineen and the talented students at Bray Institute of Further Education. The dancing will be outdoors, in public space, so prepare for the weather and come watch the show.

On Sunday, April 29, there will be a community playgroup at Purelight Sance Studio at Shoreline Leisure in bray.

The group is for children up to age four and on from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
