SIMI’s recovery operators conference to be held in Wicklow for the first time

THE Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI) is holding its 2018 Vehicle Recovery Operators National Conference today ( Wednesday, April 25) in The Glenview Hotel.

This is the first time that the event is taking place in County Wicklow. The conference will start with registrati­on and trade show with a number of different exhibitors with products and services of interest to the recovery industry.

The conference itself will feature a number of speakers including David Sheahan, garda assistant commission­er, roads, policing and major events management; Peter Navan, district officer at Dublin Fire Brigade; Davy Holmes, Managing Director and chief engineer at RIES Europe; and Gina Archbold, partner alliance manager at Elavon Merchant Services. There will then be a further trade show with networking and lunch.

The conference is open to all SIMI member companies involved in the recovery business. There is no charge to attend but attendees must register in advance to seamus@simi.ie. Recovery operators who are was delighted to showcase their new shop refit as well as new products. They place great value in offering products that are sourced locally and, if they are from Co Wicklow, all the better. not members of the SIMI are also welcome to attend the VRO
