A new business support resource which provides information on companies and other key data is now available from Wicklow County Library Service.

The service is being provided by Irish company Vision-net and will allow online access to all the latest company, business and director information in Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK. All data is sourced from the Company Registration Office in Ireland, the UK Companies House, the courts, national newspapers and the Insolvency Service.

Available documents include audited company accounts, changes in directors, allotments of shares, credit ratings and mortgages or charges.

This is a valuable addition to the suite of free online resources already available to Wicklow library members.

Vision-net can be accessed anywhere via the ‘Business & Employment’ tab on the Library Section at www. wicklow.ie.

Vision-net was first introduced to Arklow library as part of its ‘Work Matters’ programme, an initiative which promotes the public library as an avenue for research and education, regarding business. Business and employment books, journals, newspaper reports and wire feeds are also available.

In addition to public access computers or personal laptop/wi-fi usage, there is a community room space for meetings.

People can also learn about support available for jobseekers, develop new skills to boost cv or job application, or research funding sources for small businesses.
