Ashford Fair returns this bank holiday

-

THE ASHFORD Country Fair takes place in the iconic grounds of the Bel Air Hotel this Bank Holiday Monday.

There will be two separate gun dog demonstrations and an always popular dog show will also be held. Entries for the dog show will be taken from 11 a.m.

The highly entertaining duck herder will be back, with three separate demonstrations. Thus, everyone will have a chance to watch the dog skilfully herd these delightful and comical ducks as they waddle into a pen.

Following on from its overwhelming success last year, a falconry display will take place again.

There will also be the usual variety of popular farm animals (safely housed in pens), including a donkey, calf, sheep, lambs, goats and hens.

A huge range of stalls will ensure that there is something of interest for everyone, from the Men’s Shed, to jewellery, crafts, pottery, soaps, brica-brac, books, Tupperware, clothes, cakes, country produce and more besides.

The fair runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, May 7, for a great family day out. The cost of entry is just €5 per car.
