FIFTEEN Wicklow businesses will be in the mix as the All-Ireland Restaurant Awards winners are announced at the Clayton Hotel in Dublin on May 14.
The Leinster Regional Awards took place recently, with the 15 Wicklow establishments now in line to compete for an All-Ireland title in their respective categories.
The Garden County businesses progressing to the All-Ireland Restaurant Awards are: Campo de’ Fiori for best casual dining; The Strawberry Tree at Brooklodge and Macreddin Village for best emerging Irish cuisine; Platform Pizza Bar in Bray for best kids size meal; Happy Pear in Greystones for best free from; Pink Salt Indian Restaurant in Bray for best world cuisine; Donal Byrne of Butler and Barry Gastro pub of Bray for best restaurant manager; La Touche Wines 4 U of Greystones for best wine experience; The Harbour Bar in Bray for pub of the year; Firehouse Bakery and Bread School in Delgany for best café; Noah’s Ark Restaurant Café in Bray for best customer service; Butler and Barry Gastro Pub for best gastro pub; Sika Restaurant at Powerscourt Hotel for best hotel and guesthouse restaurant; Cowfish in Bray for best newcomer; Brian Walsh at Pigeon House Café in Delgany for best chef; and the Pigeon House Café for best restaurant.
