Coolboy handball and GA A golf classic

-

THE horrific weather of last May Bank Holiday weekend couldn’t dampen the Coolboy GAA and handball club committees’ determination to plan for another joint golf classic which is set to take place in Coollattin Golf Club on Sunday, May 6.

Teams of four will compete on the day to win various prizes including ‘Nearest to Pin’, ‘Longest Drives’ and should golfers be lucky enough, a prize for a hole in one!

The club wish to thank the teams who have already entered. Tee times are limited but available and if you are interested in playing, please contact Miley O’Keeffe on 087 984 9999 or Patricia Byrne on 085 257 1037 as soon as possible.

“A sincere thank you must be extended to all our sponsors who have donated to our classic,” said a club spokesperson.

“If you wish to become a sponsor or to donate to the classic in any way, contact any member from either committee. When all golfers have finished, the day will be followed by the prize giving along with music until late in the Clubhouse.

“Lines and cards are currently on sale for our raffle on the night where a signed and framed Dublin jersey is the much sought after first prize. Lines are €2 and available from any handballer, footballer, committee member, Christy’s and The Little Moon.

“A new addition to our classic this year is an auction in which a framed Galway Hurling Jersey signed by the reigning All-Ireland champions along with other items are up for grabs. A great day and night is guaranteed, and everyone is welcome,” they added.
