CHARITY BRIDGE NIGHT

There will be a fundraisin­g bridge night in Roundwood parish hall on May 7 at 7.45 p.m. in aid of Roundwood Community Services. Entry €10 per person. Raffle and tea served on night, all grades welcome, no partner required, any queries contact Triona at 087 7630968.

ACTIVE RETIREMENT

Wicklow Active Retirement Group has invited the members of the Roundwood Group to a Variety Concert on Thursday, May 10, in the Pastoral Centre from midday 3 p.m. Names to Betty or Molly. The bus will leave Roundwood Parish Hall at 11.30. Both the concert and the bus are free.

PILGRIMAGE

There will be a pilgrimage to Our Lady’s Island on Sunday, August 19, leaving Roundwood at 10 a.m. from the Parish Hall. Cost is €65 per person which includes the bus, scones and dinner. Money and names to Susan at 087 76273032 before August 1.

002 BRIDGE CLUB

Friday, April 27, saw Rachel Judd and Molly Byrne playing their cards right to take first place for North/South, second Maria McGee and Judy Skates and third Liz Belton and Phil Kenna. Noeleen Redmond and Margaret Bolger continued their success by taking first for East/West Nancy O’Brien and Jim McNamara were second and third place went to Bridie Nolan and Maura Gaskin.

BARN DANCE

The Moneystown Midsummer barn dance and barbecue will take place on June 30 in Moneystown Community Centre starting at 8 p.m. till late. Music by the Roamin Cadiliacs and the Whole Hog. Fully licensed.

With the longer evenings the Roundwood Whizzers Walking Group are now walking on the Vartry Trails every Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. from the Coach House car park. Walk at your own pace for one hour while having a chat. All welcome.
