BRITAIN’S BEST HOME COOK, BBC 1, Thursday at 8pm IN this new eight-pat series that sounds like a potential replacement for the Bake Off, ten amateur cooks will compete over eight weeks for the title of Britain’s Best Home Cook. Mary Berry, chef Dan Doherty and produce expert Chris Bavin will do the judging, and the contestants’ first task is to prepare a double burger with at least two side dishes that should showcase their personalities and cooking styles.
