Applications invited for student scholarship

LEAVING Certificate students from County Wicklow are being invited to submit an application for a €20,000 scholarship.

Students are invited to apply if they are currently attending secondary schools and are studying two or more of the following subjects: physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, mathematics and applied mathematics. Arthur Johnson of East Glendalough School in Wicklow town was the 2017 Wicklow recipient and is now studying Engineering at University College Dublin.

Each Naughton Scholarship is valued at €20,000, which works out as €5,000 for each year of the student’s third-level course. The closing date for applications is 5.30 p.m. on Friday, May 18.
