Wicklow XL Stores take top prizes

XL Stores from County Wicklow were honoured for achieving outstanding excellence in retail at the company’s recent Retailing Standard Awards.

The awards took place in the Hodson Bay Hotel in Athlone and attracted retailers from all over Ireland. The ceremony was run by BWG Foods, owners and operators of the XL brand.

McCoy’s XL in Laragh and XL Newcastle were both awarded a Gold Retailing Standard Award while XL Boghall Road in Bray received a Silver Retailing Standard Award.

The XL Retailing Standard Awards are only given to stores that pass a tough year-long inspection, including visits from mystery shoppers.
