Windows smashed on classic car

Bray People - - NEWS -

A classic car owned by Paul Byrne of the Greystones Guide was vandalised last Thursday night. The bright orange 1969 model VW Beetle was repaired the following morning, after two windows were smashed. Paul said that he and a neighbour had both heard the bang and come out to find the damage done and glass all over the street.

The incident occurred at Kindlestown in Greystones. Paul reported the matter to gardai who examined the scene. Paul said that he had CCTV installed recently and footage will be examined. He said that the damage amounted to around €250.

‘Much like my dog Max, the car is a trademark of the Guide,’ said Paul, who has owned the vehicle for around 30 years. The guide is a website devoted to Greystones matters.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the gardaí in Greystones.
