Grey­stones Can­cer Sup­port group walk raises €2,000

FRIENDS and sup­port­ers of Grey­stones Can­cer Sup­port took to the streets on the May bank hol­i­day Sun­day to raise money for the group.

Thank­fully, the Ir­ish weather be­haved and the sun shone down on the fundrais­ing walk, help­ing to en­sure that it was won­der­ful event which ev­ery­one en­joyed. Grey­stones Can­cer Sup­port raised ap­prox­i­mately €2,000, al­though more funds will most likely come in.

Vic­tor Evans led the charge, dressed as The Mad Hat­ter for the oc­ca­sion. Walk­ers made their way along the seafront and through the town.

So­nia Walsh, Chair­per­son of Grey­stones Can­cer Sup­port, has ex­tended a huge thank you to ev­ery­one who got in­volved.

‘It was a great suc­cess and we are de­lighted that it went so well on the day,’ she said.
