Delgany ICA hosts tea day

-

THE cups were clinking as Delgany ICA Guild members hosted an Alzheimer’s ‘ Tea Day’ recently at the Methodist Hall in Greystones.

The ladies enjoyed tea or coffee and cake, as well as the chance to catch up with each other and support a worthy cause. The raffle was also well-supported both in terms of prizes donated and ticket sales.

Tea Day is a national day of celebration and fundraising that honours people affected by Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

The initiative is the society’s single biggest fundraising event of the year, with hosts all over the country holding parties to raise money for their services.

Funds raised will go towards day care centres, support groups, overnight respite, home care and more. For every €25 raised, the Alzheimer Society can provide an extra hour of home care.
