Pride of place this week goes to Glencormac United Seniors, who sealed their first ever Wicklow Cup Final appearance by beating Carnew 3-1 in a thrilling semi-final held in Avonmore. The match is covered in greater detail on the sports pages of the Bray People but goals by Nay Watters, Sam O’Callaghan and veteran Mick Rooney sealed a fantastic win. The entire team are really grateful for the wonderful support they received on Sunday and need you all to help them win some vital games coming up including two Cup Finals and four league games.

The under-14s had a great second leg Cup Quarter Final win over Ashford last Thursday night. Winning 1-0 from the away leg, they sealed a semi-final spot with two goals from Kieren Griffiths and Luke Frawley also hit the net.

The under-10s had a great 4-3 victory over Wicklow Town. Goals from Toby Smith Luke Kelly, Kaiter Barretto and a late winner from Oran Finnerty secured the victory in a great game served up by two super teams. Thanks to Stephen Leahy for referring the game.

The under-11s hosted Coolboy and despite missing their defensive rock Seán Mooney through injury, the rest of the team played out of their skins. Alex Condon got the Glens off the line with a corner which was cleared back to him and he drove it into the back of the net. Then new signing this season, Tristan Hill scored his first goal for the club followed shortly after by a second that he expertly finished to give them a 3-0 half time lead. The second period saw a rocky start with us conceding two goals within the first five minutes as Coolboy pressed hard and the next 20 minutes saw Glens withstand intense pressure to hold on for a fantastic 3-2 win.
