Services of Worship for Sunday, May 20 – Pentecost: 8.30 a.m. – Holy Communion One; 11 a.m. – Holy Communion Two; 12.30 p.m. – Introducti­on to the defibrilla­tor.

African Dinner: Jenny, Roberta, Avril and Baden want to thank everyone who helped and supported in any way our recent African Dinner. €1,000 has been sent over to Uganda to provide feminine sanitary and hygiene products. The response of everyone was hugely appreciate­d.

Indian Dinner: Building on the success of the African dinner, especially in bringing people together, we are organised another dinner – this time with home-made Indian cooking. Money raised will go towards parish funds. Once again it will be held in the Rectory, this Saturday at 7 p.m. Donations of €20 per person/€30 per couple will be appreciate­d. This time we are running a BYOB system so people can bring and enjoy (sensibly) their drink of choice. Further details from Avril, Protima and Baden.

Introducti­on to the Defibrilla­tor: John Hopkins of Kilmacanog­ue First Responders will visit Christ Church Bray this Sunday after the 11 a.m. service to provide an introducti­on to the defibrilla­tor at 12.30 p.m. Cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, at any age, so it is important that people in church know how to use the defibrilla­tor. Please give your name to Tracey in the parish office if interested in learning more.

Parish Camera Club: Meets next Monday night at 8 p.m. in the PLC annual Christ Church Garden Fête: Takes place in the church grounds on Saturday, June 9, The next fête meeting for stallholde­rs will take place tonight (Wednesday) at 8 p.m. in the PLC Youth Club: Junior Shack for Primary School Children meets every Saturday from 6.15 p.m. to 7.15 p.m. up to the end of June.

Senior Shack for Secondary School Students up to age 17 meets on Saturdays as advertised from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. If interested contact Rev Martin O’Kelly 087 2486368. CEMETERY SUNDAY

The annual blessing of graves and Mass of remembranc­e will take place in Shanganagh Cemetery at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 27.

HOLY REDEEMER PARISH

Date for your Diary – June 24: We will celebrate our annual Feast Day on Sunday June June 24 with a special Mass at 11 a.m. Further details to follow in the coming weeks.

First Holy Communions: The First Holy Communions in Holy Redeemer will take place during the midday Mass this Sunday and on Sunday, May 27.

Loreto Graduation Mass: Was celebrated last Monday night at 7.30 p.m.

Share Collection: The SHARE collection provides essential pastoral services supporting all parishes. SHARE also provides support to low-income parishes and contribute­s to initiative­s of the Irish Bishops’ Conference.

Evening Mass: There will be 7 p.m. evening Mass today (Wednesday) and tomorrow (Thursday). On Friday a liturgy will replace the 7 p.m. Mass.

Lourdes Pilgrimage September 7 to September 12: The parish will once again join the Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes in September. The fully inclusive price is €739 – Single Room Supplement is €155 – €180 and is subject to availabili­ty. Instalment­s accepted. Share Collection: The Share Collection provides essential pastoral services supporting all parishes. QOP YOUTH CLUB

Queen of Peace Adventure Youth Club water sports season is in full swing with canoeing, body boarding, paddle boarding, and coasteerin­g. For those not inclined towards the water Mike is running all kinds of alternativ­e activities. There are vacancies for more young members. Visit the club at the boathouse on the Seafront on Tuesdays at 5.30, see the fun and join the club.

DIVING CLUB

Bray Divers are back from a dive trip to Lanzarote. While there the club met with divers from other clubs including Dalkey, Naas, Coleraine, in addition to divers from Germany, Wales, and England. Dives ranged from 10 metres deep down to forty. A return trip is planned for October. There is still time to learn to dive before your summer holidays. CUALANN SOCIETY

Tomorrow (Thursday) the Bray Cualann Historical Society, the local history society for Bray and North Wicklow, will host an evening devoted to ‘Printed in Bray: the history of the printing industry in Bray and County Wicklow’ in the Royal Hotel, Bray, at 8 p.m. – all welcome – admission €5.

Dublin. All welcome – entrance €3; and Saturdays 2 p.m. lecture by Bill Fulton on ‘Generals Died in the Great War’ to the Western Front Associatio­n (Dublin Branch) in the Museum of Decorative Arts and History Lecture Theatre, Collins Barracks, Benburb Street, Dublin seven.
