TEA DANCE

The Wicklow Man is back to entertain us while we dance the afternoon away with refreshmen­ts provided on May 20 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh. If you are a group, please call 0404 45600 to book in.

GENEROUS DONATION

The Brockagh Resource Centre gratefully received a generous donation of €1,000 from recently deceased local man, Arthur Good. May he rest in peace.

OLDER PERSON COUNCIL

The annual general meeting of Co. Wicklow Older Person Council will be held in the Brockagh Resource Centre on Friday, May 25. The AGM will be followed by a Tea Dance in the afternoon.

BADMINTON

Badminton classes will be finishing up for the summer on Monday, April 30, and Thursday, May 3, but we will keep you informed about their return in the autumn.

MORNING YOGA

Louise’s yoga class will be held every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11.15 a.m. and will be continuing during the summer, depending on numbers attending. This is a gently paced class where students learn how to align, open and strengthen the body gradually while stabilisin­g the platforms of the feet and ankles, hips and pelvis and shoulder girdle.

The class begins with general and targeted warm-up sequences followed by postures (Asanas) and Vinyasa (breath-connected) sequences before final relaxation in Savasana. To find out more, call Louise at 087 6032202 (booking is essential).

CHAIR YOGA

Our very popular Chair Yoga class will take place on Thursdays from 11.30 a.m. to 12.45 p.m. and will be continuing during the summer, depending on numbers attending. Chair Yoga is suitable for almost everyone and helps students find balance and calm in everyday life. The class takes students through centering and breath-work, followed by postures that let the joints move through their range of movement while seated or through use of the chair while standing. IRISH DANCING CLASSES

Irish Dancing on Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Classes cater for any age over three years and all levels including absolute beginners. Registered members of An Comhdhail, fully Garda Vetted and insured. AA MEETINGS

Closed AA Meetings are held in the Brockagh Resource Centre at 8.30 p.m. every Monday night all year round.
