Mark Hennessy lived in Woodbrook Lawn

-

MARK HENNSSESY lived in Bray’s Woodbrook Lawn, a quiet development on the Boghall Road. The 40-yearold worked in construction.

He and his partner had two children, the youngest born in September last year, the older aged two.

The construction worker purchased the Nissan Qashqai just days after the birth last year and appeared in promotional material related to the purchase.

On the face of it, his was a normal, even pedestrian, sort of life. Last Sunday evening he was shot dead by gardai after driving that Qashqai to Cherrywood, the chief suspect in the abduction of Jastine Valdez.

A native of Ballybrack, he and his family lived more recently in Bray.

Very little else is known about Hennessy, who appeared to keep a low profile.

Gardai said that his wife, who is from Holyhead, was puzzled and perplexed by what was unfolding after they came to her door.

She thought he had gone out with friends. They were due to attend a family communion with relatives on Sunday but he did not turn up. Hours later he was fatally wounded by gardai.

Gardai have not established any connection between Hennessy and the late Jastine.
