LoveBoth tour visits Garden County
THE LOVEBOTH ‘Vote No’ tour arrived in Co Wicklow recently, visiting Arklow, Greystones and Bray.
Representatives met with local supporters before heading off for a street canvass in each town on Sunday, May 13.
LoveBoth spokesperson Katie Ascough said: ‘As we travel around the country, we are finding that people are very shocked to hear that there is nothing ‘restrictive’ about this proposal, despite what the Government has been saying.
‘If it passes, the Government would never again have to go to the people on the issue of abortion. Instead, they would be free to make whatever laws they want,’ she said.
Ms Ascough described what is being put to the people as ‘an extreme proposal, more extreme than the law in Britain’.
‘It would introduce abortion on demand,’ she said. ‘ The only way to stop that is to Vote No on May 25.’
