STUDENTS FINDING THEIR VOICE

-

STUDENTS from the first and second year art groups at Bray Adult Education have put their work on display at Signal Arts Centre.

‘An Expressive Journey’ is a collection of work developed and created by students as they continue on their personal journey through the arts.

The artworks they have put on display have been inspired by a wide range of themes and represent the distinct creative voice and interpretation of each artist.

The exhibition includes paintings, drawings, textile art, felt making, textile printing, ceramics, wood and sculpture and boasts a fantastic use of colour, texture and surface pattern, which play a key role in the individual’s use of expression.

Most of the students, who come from Bray and the surrounding areas, are novices with little or no exposure to art and design and so this will be a first exhibition for many.

‘An Expressive Journey’ continues at the Signal Arts Centre until Sunday, May 27.
