Hill fires

Local residents in the Rocky Valley and Carrigoona area’s would like to sincerely thank all the members of our hard working fire services who saved many homes last Thursday night and most of Friday. Hill fires were started deliberately placing homes and lives in danger and the blaze took off fuelled by the dry weather and winds but these brave men battled through the night to make sure no properties were lost.

Some exhausted crews were treated to refreshments in Plucks and a collection made to cover dinner for them on Friday in an act of appreciation so well done everyone.
