CFR training

Glencormac United Coaches and young stars were treated to a wonderful presentation by the Kilmac Cardiac First Responders last Thursday night. Co-ordinator John Hopkins mixed a bit of ‘The Hoppo Wit’ along with the serious instruction of what do in an emergency in the event of someone suffering a cardiac arrest.

Both the children and adults got to work on ‘Simon’ which thought them how to try get the heart going again and it certainly is not easy and people need to work as a team to help revive the person. The group also saw how the defibrillator works and it certainly was an interesting evening.

The club would like to thank John (Hopkins), Sharron Carey, Martin Hayes and Jane Nuttall for giving up their precious time to train the club members, it was really appreciated.
