Gardeningfor birds

Declany Murphy will deliver a talk entitled ‘Gardening for Birds’ at Enniskerry Library on Wednesday, June 6 at 7 p.m.

Topics will include what plants to grow to attract them, feed them and encourage them to nest. An introduction to birdsong and the dawn chorus is also included.

Declan is a local author of the recently published ‘A Life in the Trees’, a personal account of the Great Spotted Woodpecker in Ireland. ‘A life in the Trees’ explores the richness and diversity of the natural wonders found in County Wicklow, against a backdrop of a more general overview of the Great Spotted Woodpecker species in Ireland.
