LOCALS RAISE A TOAST TO ROYAL NEWLYWEDS

-

As Harry Windsor and Megan Markle got hitched in England, 75 of the good people of Greystones had a hoolie.

The Whale Theatre showed the event on the big screen, while serving continental breakfast, tea and cakes.

Many of the guests got almost as dolled up as Camilla Parker-Bowles for the Royal Wedding, and everyone wore a bigger smile than Victoria Beckham.

They had a better view of proceedings than many of the members of the crowed who waited patiently outside.

From the first glimpse of the dress, to that excited page-boy, and equally excited Bishop Michael Curry, the guests enjoyed every moment of the latest Royal Wedding. There was even a round of applause for the ‘first kiss’ between the newlyweds. The overall feeling was that Kate’s dress was nicer, not that it’s a competition of course.

And if there were any doubt surrounding the local appetite for regal nuptials, not only was the screening sold out, but operating with a waiting list of 80.
