FIVE YOUNG ARTISTS WIN TEXACO AWARDS
FIVE talented Wicklow students have been presented with top awards in this year’s 64th Texaco Children’s Art Competition.
Evan Kearney from Bray came second in the 16-18 years category and was presented with his award by Minister for Culture, Heritage and The Gaeltacht Josepha Madigan and James Twohig, Director Ireland Operations at Valero.
Four more young artists were presented with Special Merit Awards at the ceremony in Dublin, namely Eimear Carvill from Loreto Bray Secondary School; Emma Seckington from Gaelscoil an Inbhir Mhóir, Arklow; William O’Riordan from Wicklow Montessori Primary School, Wicklow town; and Dahlia Tansey from Lacken National School, Blessington.
