€500,000 renovation for the Parkview Hotel

-

THE new owners of the Parkview Hotel aim to pump €500,000 into a complete renovation of the hotel.

The 60-bedroom Newtownmountkennedy Hotel is now in the ownership of the Chris Kelly Group who also own some of Dublin’s best-known landmark pubs, including Sinnotts on South King Street and Capitol on Stephen’s Street.

The Chris Kelly Group aims to position the Parkview as one of the leading wedding venues on the east coast.

There are now plans for a complete renovation of the hotel costing up to €500,00 and starting with the ballroom and bar. It is planned to have all the renovations complete by October of this year.

To celebrate the new ownership, the Parkview will host a customer appreciation afternoon at the hotel on Sunday, June 17, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be live music and children’s entertainment.

A donation of €6,000 on behalf of the Parkview Hotel will be made to the Odlum family for their son Liam to help them reach a goal of €10,000 for a canine companion.

‘Everyone is invited to come along and attend our little party,’ said Sales and Wedding Manager Nicole Byrne. ‘We are very much a community-driven hotel and that’s why we felt it was only right that we assist Liam and his efforts to get a companion dog.’
