Celebration time for 160 hard-working graduates
OVER 160 students received their QQI awards at a Wicklow Further and Education Centre graduation held in the Grand Hotel.
It was very much a family-affair as students brought along their partners and children to witness the presentation of certificates.
Adult Education Officer at Kildare and Wicklow Education Training Board, Brenda Lynch, gave a short speech praising all the participants for their efforts, before she started to present the certificates.
Presentations were made to graduating Youthreach and part time Adult Education Programme students.
The day also acted as a celebration for all the students including those attending the full time VTOS adult education programme and the part time adult education programme VTOS.
Based on the Murrough, the Wicklow Fur- ther Education and Training Centre is home to a range of full time and part time education and training opportunities with the ABE, BTEI, VTOS and Youthreach Programmes. They are currently taking enrolments for next year. Anyone interested should visit www.wicklowfetc.ie.
Wicklow Further Education and Training Centre will host an open day which will take place on Monday, June 11 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.. All are welcome to attend.
