Popular Joe stands aside

THERE was an emotional evening recently in Baltinglass Badminton Club as their long-standing Chairman Joe Fagan retired after 37 years of exemplary service.

‘A true gent with nothing but the promotion of badminton in his heart,’ was how the club described the popular Joe on their Facebook page

A large crowd including SWL stalwart Loftus Warren were on hand with proceedings MCd by Owen Cooney to present him with a small token to mark this tremendous service.
