10 How Do I Live Leann Rimes Twenty years ago this week, Irish girl group B*Witched were sitting on top of the UK (and Irish) charts with their debut single. ‘C’est La Vie’. Written by the four members, sisters Edele and Keavy Lynch, Lindsay Armaou, and Sinéad O’Carroll, along with Ray “Madman” Hedges, Martin Brannigan and Tracey Ackerman, the song also reached number 9 in the US (in April, 1999) and was nominated for an Ivor Novello Award. The group’s next three singles from their self-titled debut album were also No, 1 hits in the UK. B*Witched, who went on to sell over three million albums worldwide, split in 2006 after being dropped by record company Sony while working on a third album. The group reformed in 2012 (for ITV series ‘The Big Reunion’) and have since released an EP ‘Champagne or Guinness’ plus a compilation album, ‘C’est La Vie - The Collection’.
