JASTINE MURDER PROBE CONTINUES

Gardaí continue to investigate the death of Jastine Valdez, as her family prepare for her funeral in the Philippines.

Arrangements have been delayed as they await the arrival home of other family members.

Jastine (24) was abducted and killed by Bray resident Mark Hennessy (40) on Saturday, May 19. Hennessy was fatally shot by gardaí the following evening.

Gardaí in Bray are painstakingly sifting through evidence relating to both Ms Valdez and her killer.

They have not established any connection between the two at this point.

The investigation will result in a file for the coroner prior to an inquest.

Gardaí are still eager to hear from anyone who may have seen suspicious activity throughout that weekend and are looking for certain items, including a blue shoulder bag which was purchased in Next. The bag contained a Bershka jacket, Nike runners, a Leap car, an iPad mini, make-up, purple reading glasses with a pink tint and lip balm.
