A vision for community wellbeing to be sought
Couny Wicklow Public Participation Network is asking community groups in the north east of the county to develop their vision for the Bray Municipal District.
The PPN is bringing together social inclusion, environment and community development groups to develop a vision for community wellbeing for the Bray Municipal District. The district stretches from Bray across to Kippure and includes Enniskerry, Powerscourt and Kilmacanogue.
‘Although we sometimes think about “wellbeing” in terms of good physical and mental health, it can also describe the wider conditions we need as individuals and communities to have a better quality of life, a healthier environment and increased prosperity,’ said PPN resource worker Helen Howes. ‘Some of these are things that we can easily measure, like the number of pre-school places, or the speed with which an ambulance can get to a sick person. Others are less easily measured, such as our pride of place, our heritage and the way in which we all look after each other.’
Groups working in the Bray Municipal District are invited to come along and represent their group’s views on how the community can be made as good as it can bes. Meetings will take place on Tuesday, June 19 at 12.30 p.m. in Little Bray Family Resource & Development Centre and at 6.30 p.m. in Villa Pacis, Putland Road. Email countywicklowppn or call 087 1895145 to reserve a place.
Light refreshments will be provided at both meetings
