Treacy tops a positive spell for Wicklow
THERE were some very positive results for Wicklow athletes in recent weeks with Ashford AC’s Roisin Treacy winning the All-Ireland School Intermediate Steeplechase in what was a fantastic achievement!
There was a silver medal for Joe Prendergast in the Junior boys long jump and a bronze in the 800m and silver also for Louise O’Riordan in the Minor girls 800m race.
Ellen McNally secured silver in the Junior girls triple jump with a new PB and Tailteann Games selection.
There was bronze for Alana Ryan in the Senior girls 100m with a huge PB and a fourth place finish in the 200m.
Fourth spot was also secured for Jack McGlone in the Minor boys 100m in a very tight race and fourth for Ellen McNally in the Junior girls long jump with a new PB into the bargain.
Finally, Jack McGlone picked up a silver in the 4x100m relay.
