CASH IS SEIZED IN CAB RAID
THE CRIMINAL Assets Bureau seized €7,500 in a raid in Bray last Friday morning, along with evidence of the use of virtual currencies and a number of mobile phones, computers and other electronic devices.
Gardaí said that this operation was linked to an organised crime gang based in the Wicklow area. The searches spanned several areas across the town of Bray. The search was assisted by local gardaí, the divisional garda asset profilers, the emergency response unit and the Wicklow divisional search team.
Six properties were searched – two residential premises, two business premises and two professional practices – the offices of an accountant and a solicitor.
No arrests have been made and the search operation is ongoing.
