Bray People show support for Minor footballers
THE Wicklow/Bray People have shown their support to the Wicklow Minor footballers through sponsorship of their upcoming historical trip to Rennes in France.
The trip, organised through Rennes LGFA and Wicklow native Anna Marie O’Rourke, is part of the Galiesie en Fete 2018 festival and the squad fly out on June 21 for four days.
“We are delighted to have been invited to take part in this festival and while in France will play matches against both Rennes and a Breton selection while also conducting some schools coaching workshops,” said Dominic Leech.
“This is a huge honour for the team and the girls along with the management are so looking forward to it. This is the first time ever that an LGFA inter-county team will travel to play in a European tournament,” he added.
