Super weekend in Ballinaclash
CLASH FEST returns to Ballinaclash over two days on Saturday, June 23, and Sunday, June 24.
At 12.30 p.m. on the Saturday there will be a historical walk leaving from Phelans. The always-popular memorial soccer matches take place at 3 p.m. in the Ballinaclash Community Field. The children’s match is up first, followed by a toddlers match and finishing with a women’s match. There will also be a barbecue and bouncy castle on the day. A teddy bears’ picnic takes place across from Phelans at 5.30 p.m. followed by Dave the Juggler. There will be a children’s fancy dress competition taking place at 7 p.m. in the marquee which will include prizes for best costume and other spot prizes. Open mic busking takes over the marquee from 9.30 p.m. as part of Show the Clash Factor. There will also be live music with Billy Brakcen and company from 9.30 p.m. in Phelans.
The action starts all over again on Sunday, with a family sports day starting from 2 p.m. with stalls, games, bouncy castles, waterslides, refreshments and entertainment for the whole family. From 5 p.m. there will be a barbecue and music outside Phelans. At 6.30 p.m. there will be a grand auction, while street games and entertainment starts at 7.30 p.m. and will include glamorous granny and funky granddad competitions followed by dancing at the crossroads.
