Heist netted haul worth over £750,000

A robbery in Greystones last February netted jewellery and other goods to the value of more than three quarters of a million pounds, ,it emerged this week.

£750,000 worth of jewellery, a video recorder, and £1,700 in US dollars were taken in the robbery, which occurred at the home of an elderly couple.

The value of the heist came to light when a local man appeared beefore Bray Court and was charged in connection with the incident.

during the raid two elderly householde­rs, aged in their 80s, were locked in their bathroom.

The 19-year-old was charged with committing a robbery at the home in Greystones on April 27, and with falsely imprisonin­g the two householde­rs, aged 87 and 84 respective­ly, on the same occasion.
