Woman stole from SuperValu
A WOMAN before the courts for a number of instances of theft was suffering certain financial problems at the time.
Jade Power (30), 124 Charlesland Park, appeared in Bray District Court. She admitted seven counts of theft from SuperValu in Greystones over September and October last year, and April and May this year. Items included groceries, a bottle of whiskey, a bottle of Captain Morgan. Values ranged from €20 to €40 per incident. Much of the stock was recovered.
The defendant entered pleas of guilty in all matters. Solicitor Andrew Vallely said that his client is a part-time equestrian trainer. He said that she does have a huge employment history.
She had a period of ill health and certain difficulties. She had part compensation of €150 with her in court as a gesture of remorse.
Judge Kennedy adjourned to October 11 for probation and community service reports.
