Bobby Messett bolf classic

Glencormac United in conjunction with the Messett Family are holding a golf classic on Friday, August 24, which will be called ‘The Bobby Messett Memorial golf classic’. The sudden loss of Bobby in tragic circumstances recently has shocked us all and this classic is been run to help the family and we know, this community will once again rally behind one of their own without a doubt.

Charlesland Golf Club have been very generous in reducing the costs as have the clubs main sponsor, Helen and Nick of Plucks with food after and it is hoped everyone will make a big effort for the man we called ‘The Dazzler’. Tee Times are from 11 a.m. up to 4 p.m. and a cost of a team of four is just €240 including golf, meal and prizes. It will be played as a four team member scramble whereby every player plays the best ball each time and while these events can be very competitive, this format will suit everyone who does not play on a regular basis.
