Woman fined after bag of rubbish thrown from car
Amy Louise Ann McEvoy, with an address at 8 Old Conna Grove, Fasseroe, Bray was held responsible for a bag of rubbish thrown from her car.
The offence, which drew prosecution by Wexford County Council, occurred last August at Scarnagh, Inch, near Gorey.
The matter was reported to the local authority and paperwork with Ms McEvoy’s name was discovered in the litter.
The accused was described at Gorey District Court last Thursday by her solicitor as a 27-year-old single mother on social welfare.
Ms McEvoy was fined €100 and also ordered to pay the council’s €200 costs, with six months allowed for payment.
