All set for the Carnew Show

PREPARATIONS are under way for the Carnew and District Annual Agricultural Show.

Now in its 72nd year, the show will take place on Saturday, July 21, from 11 a.m., at Umrigar, Carnew. The organisers are hoping for a large turnout from both competitors and the general public.

There will be a presentation of cups and trophies for a variety of sections including hunter horses and ponies; young horses; broodmares and foals; pony club games; sheep section; indoor section; poultry section; and carriage driving competition.

The ever-popular dog show will commence at 2 p.m.

The day will also include children’s entertainment, and a barbecue and music on the show field on show night when the competitions have concluded.
