Motorcyclists complete ‘Ride Against Suicide’ for good cause

-

A GROUP of motorcyclists came together to raise funds for a worthy cause on Sunday.

Members of the Warg Motorcycle Club from north Wicklow and south Dublin, along with some guests bikers, departed from Bridgewater Centre in Arklow for a leisurely road run passing through Arklow, Rathdrum, Rathnew, Kilcoole and Bray in aid of the Living Life. The charity counselling service has branches in Arklow, on the Wexford Road and on Eglington Road, Bray, run by more than 80 volunteer counsellors supporting hundreds of clients.

A total of 38 riders, some with passengers took part and despite an unwelcome change in the weather conditions, enjoyed the annual road run immensely.

The event, entitled ‘Bikers Ride Against Suicide’ ran successfully for the third year, and Warg MCC club chairperson Ciaran O’Driscoll confirmed that it will take place once again in 2019.

He thanked everyone who took part and who supported the fundraiser.

The total raised will be announced in the near future once the club has collected all donations.
