FOUR employees from Peter Mark Bray were honoured last week for long standing service.

Hannah Bowden, Anna Gasciencia Doyle and Ivan Kostadinov were all honoured for 10 years’ service to Peter Mark while Joanne Kelly was honoured for 20 years’ service.

The Peter Mark Long Service Awards took place at The Westin Hotel, Dublin and recognised employees from salons across Ireland who have worked at Peter Mark for 10 years or more.

Of the 120 honoured today, the average length of service was 16 years but many were celebratin­g even more significan­t milestones with the company 19 people celebrated their silver jubilee racking up an impressive 25 years on the salon floor while six members of the team were honoured for 30 years of service. Two hairstylis­ts celebrated 35 years with the company.

Peter O’Rourke, CEO Peter Mark said: ‘Our Long Service Awards which celebrates the fantastic contributi­on of our team to Peter Mark. As a company we are proud to say that we have so many talented stylists and support staff who have worked with us for over 10 years or more, something which is almost unheard in hairdressi­ng.

‘As a brand working in the service industry for 58 years, we know how important is to attract and retain the best talent. It is the lifeblood of our company. Providing the best training and career opportunit­ies for our team is at the very centre of everything we do. We run a world class training programme which ensures our team are continuous­ly learning and upskilling throughout their career to ensure we stay ahead of the curve. I would like to congratula­te everyone who was honoured in our ceremony today and look forward to celebratin­g with them again at the next milestone.’ NETWORK Ireland Wicklow Branch President Louisa Meehan will be hosting a members’ family fun day at The Farm Shop in Tinahely on Sunday, July 22.

The free event will provide an opportunit­y for members to get to know each other better, while enjoying the wide range of facilities at the Farm Shop, which is run by network Ireland member Rebecca Allen and her husband.

In advance of the family day, Louisa Meehan said: ‘ This will be the first annual family fun day for Network Ireland Wicklow and it will allow an opportunit­y for our members to bring along their family, network and get to know one another better. The venue is wonderful. Rebecca, who runs the farm, is the Network Ireland Business Woman of the Year for the Small SME sector 2018 so it is a great opportunit­y to showcase the facilities they have to offer in Tinahely’.

The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and members and children can enjoy the restaurant, activity barn, farm shop and outdoor pursuits, while the younger visitors can also enjoy farm animals ranging from llamas to chickens, thrilling go-karting, challengin­g giant chess and large Connect 4.
