SUPER END OF SEASON SHOW AT VILLA PACIS
A showcase of talent marked the end of the summer project at Villa Pacis.
Organised by Anne Nolan and her small band of helpers, the two-week camp was a resounding success again this year, with children from all corners of the parish in attendance.
This year was the 10th anniversary of the summer project and Anne said it was great to see that the interest in the community was as strong as ever.
The children who attended the camp enjoyed activities such as arts and craft, knitting and sports, making the most of the sunny conditions.
‘We were blessed with the weather’, said Anne. ‘Actually we have been very lucky every year weather wise. This year we also had a visit from a community guard and a representative from the credit union to talk about junior savers. It’s great to be able to have all these activities in the parish centre’, said Anne.
On the final night, the children all put on a play for their parents and guardians showcasing their many varied talents. ‘Everyone was very impressed with the end of camp show’, said Anne. ‘ The children really did themselves and their families proud.’
