Jake headlines Arklow festival

COUNTRY and western star Jake Carter will take to the stage in Arklow as headline act for this year’s Seabreeze Music & Arts Festival which runs from Friday, July 20 to Sunday, July 22.

The Dancing with the Stars favourite will make his debut appearance in the Garden County as he enterains the crowds from the top stage on Saturday, July 21 from 9 p.m.

Music on Saturday night will also feature, newly formed ‘ The Breakfast Club’ on the Middle Stage and LH 28, who are a Dublin based four-piece band performing all the greatest anthems from the 80s today. The band is newly fronted by Arklow’s own Amy Penston, who will appear on the bottom stage. Music on all three stages starts at 9 p.m. and streets are closed from 6 p.m. to midnight.

Sunday night has another wonderful line up featuring ‘ The Navvies’ with their new six piece band – Barry Moules (the Cap), Des (The Wexford Man), Daniel (Dansky the Mean Fiddler), Paul (the Piping Bear), Michael (fair play to himself Redmond), Patrick (Paddy the Geek) will take to the Top Stage, while ‘Feel the Pinch’ will take to the middle stage and the bottom stage will feature Drogheda bases ‘E’motion’ with lead singer Donna Donnelly and her band, bound to make an impact on Arklow audiences.
