-

THE community of Rathcoyle National School came together recently to wish popular teacher Nuala O’Farrell well on her retirement.

Nuala bid the local school a fond farewell after 41 years of teaching there.

A native of Yellow Ford, Baltinglass, and now living in Tynock, Nuala devoted her entire teaching career to Rathcoyle NS and will be greatly missed by both pupils and her colleagues.

In recent years, Nuala predominantly taught infants classes at the school.

Many parents, past pupils and parents and former colleagues attended the recent Mass and celebration in the school in honour of Nuala.

The entire school community wishes her the very best on her wellearned retirement, during which she will kept busy with her choir in Baltinglass and visiting her children in Athlone and England.
