A Wicklow man who stole from an Arklow shop has been ordered to carry out community service at Arklow District Court.

Darragh Cosgrove of 37 Glenview Road, Wicklow town, was charged with theft at TK Maxx in the Bridgewater Centre on January 16, 2017.

The court heard that a positive probation report was presented to the court.

A community service order for 60 hours, in lieu of two months imprisonment, was imposed as well as a €100 fine.
